Amanda Hinnant (PhD, Northwestern University, 2006) is an assistant professor at the University of Missouri School of Journalism. Her research interests include health journalism, health disparities, sociology of news, and magazine trends. Her articles have appeared in Communication Research, Public Relations Review, Journalism & Mass Communication Quarterly, Feminist Media Studies, and Science Communication. Hinnant teaches courses on magazine scholarship, reporting and writing.

Public Relations Review, the Journal of Public Relations Research and the International Journal of Strategic Communication. She is a member of the St. Louis University/Missouri School of Journalism collaborative and NIH-sponsored Center for Excellence in Cancer Communication Research.

Abbey Blake Levenshus is a PhD student in the University of Maryland Department of Communication in College Park, MD, USA.

Brooke Fisher Liu is an Assistant Professor of Communication at University of Maryland in College Park, MD, USA.

Sun-A Park (PhD, University of Missouri, 2010) is an adjunct faculty of the Integrated Marketing Communications online masters program in the P.I. Reed School of Journalism at West Virginia University. Her research interests include environmental risk, health, and crisis communication, such as consumer health crisis management, public health crisis communication, and corporate sustainability communication. Her work has appeared in Public Relations Review, Newspaper Research Journal, Journalism & Mass Communication Quarterly, and The Handbook of Crisis Communication.

Richard D. Waters (Ph.D., University of Florida, 2007) is an assistant professor in the Department of Communication in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at North Carolina State University.  His research interests include the nonprofit organization-donor relationship, nonprofit organizations communication efforts, and e-philanthropy.
